Q. Do I need eyelets?

A. Yes, eyelets allow Banners to be attached to the fence easily with cable ties. All of SiteSmART products have some form of eyelet. It is necessary to ensure your eyelets on mesh products are at least every 75cm with a stainless-steel eyelet as a minimum. This is important so your banner can be perfectly tensioned/flat on the fence and for wind load ratings.

Q. How do I attach the sign/mesh to my fence?

A. We offer a range of different finishes to help you attach your printed Banners and signs to fences or scaffolding. Bannermesh & PVC Vinyl products come standard with stainless steel or clear UV treated polycarbonate eyelets, printed shade cloth rolls come standard with sewn buttonholes. You can attach these simply with cable ties or with Jambro Fasteners using a Jambro Gun.

Q. What is the general height of a fence or temp fence?

A. Temporary fence height is generally 1.6m. Hoarding fencing is usually 1.8m or 2m in height but can be up to 3m high. We prefer to measure existing fencing to ensure that the print specifications are correct we can then custom make your mesh to fit.

Q. What dimensions are Fence Panel Inserts (FPIs) manufactured to?

A. Our Fence Panel Inserts fit most temporary fencing panels common to the Australian market. Should you need an exact fit for your specific fence panel, please advise accurate dimensions of the mesh infill section only.

Q. What’s the difference between WindSmart Mesh (open weave mesh) & UltraSmart Mesh (premium mesh)

A. The main differences between the fabrics is how tight the weave is, and therefore how high the resulting print quality is. Also, the difference in weave affects the wind resistance of the fabric and makes each type suitable for different environments.

Premium banner mesh offers a slightly higher print quality due to its tightly woven construction. Once printed the tighter weave enables better image fidelity, as the higher number of fibres per square metre can catch more ink.

Premium mesh is recommended for intricate designs or where a very high-quality finish is required. Open weave mesh is, as the name suggests, a fabric that is more loosely woven with small openings in the weave. This open construction still provides a high-quality print, but it has less of a ‘block out’ effect, so the fabric is semi see-through.

Therefore, it is not as effective as a privacy screen if you are intending to use it as a means of blocking views of your site. If you are intending to use banner mesh as an anti-gawk mesh, then the premium version with a higher block out effect may be more suitable.

Q. Are your products UV protected?

A. Our mesh comes standard with a UV coating and our banner vinyl are rated for 5 years outdoors without UV coating but can coated for additional UV protection for the ink.

Q. Do you have products that are graffiti proof?

A. Yes, we do. Vinyl Banners, Corflute and 3mm Alupanel can be finished with an anti-graffiti laminate that facilitates the removal of paint.

Q. What are corflute signs?

A. Corflute is a type of plastic which is lightweight and weather resistant. This material is perfect for both outdoor and indoor signs. Many companies in the construction and real estate industries use this form of company signage for their temporary and more permanent advertisements. Many of our clients use custom printed corflute signs to display site safety rules in and around their construction sites to keep employees and the public safe at all times.

Q. Where can Corflute be used?

Indoor / Outdoor Building/construction site safety signs On-site tradesman signage plumbers, electricians and painters etc Election campaign corflute signs Real Estate signage Special Events signs Trade Show and Expo Display Sign Security Company Yard Surveillance Sign Safety & Warning Signs Workplace health & safety signs (OH&S) Occupational health & safety signs (OH&S) First Aid Signs Standard/Safe Operating Procedures Signs (SOP).
